The Buyer's Journey

At Dexter City Auction, we ensure a smooth and confident buying experience:

1. Registration: 

  • Secure online registration requires a $100 card check to verify your information.
  • This hold is temporary and will be released immediately.

2. Bidding: 

  • All online bidding will incur an additional 20% buyer’s premium.
  • Bid online, in person at our live auctions, or leave absentee/phone bids (see Buyer’s Premium section).
  • You will have 7 days prior to the auction's end date to place your bids online.
  • Lots begin closing on the end date, typically starting at noon, in 30 second intervals.

3. Post-Sale: 

  • If you wish to schedule a pickup, you must contact us by noon the day after the sale. If we do not hear otherwise, shipping automatically begins, and you will be charged for any handling/supplies used.
  • Your card on file (used during registration) will be charged for your total invoice.

4. Shipping: 

  • We professionally pack and ship your items for an additional handling and supply fee.
  • Shipping/handling fees will be charged to your card on file.
  • The packing, shipping, and arrival process can take up to 2 weeks.
  • We must be notified of any damage found within one week of delivery confirmation.

5. Confidence Guarantee: 

  • Rest assured in our professional handling of your new treasures from start to finish.
